Why buy a tree from us? Here's 4 good reasons:

  1. THE TREES ARE FRESH, delivered from Oregon within 48 hours after being cut!
  2. TREES ARE CUSTOM-ORDERED to the size and type you choose
  3. You can SELECT YOUR TREE at the lot (On a first-come, first-serve basis!)
  4. CUSTOMERS ARE SUPPORTING TAMALPAIS HIGH SCHOOL's ASB and PTSA
Q: Where does the money go?
A: Tam’s PTSA and ASB split the proceeds of tree sales. Last year, the PTSA used its share to help pay for the anti-drunk-driving program Every 15 Minutes. The ASB used the money to support a number of programs, including Camp Everytown and scholarships for some students to attend the CASC summer leadership camp at Stanford University.

Q: Why do these trees cost more than trees at some other discount places?
A: First, by purchasing a tree through Tam, you are making a contribution to our community. Second, our trees are fresh! While trees at many tree lots and stores are cut weeks before delivery to the lot (and then it sits there until you buy it), our trees are cut in Oregon and delivered to us within 72 hours. Then you pick it up!

Q: I’m nervous about buying a tree sight unseen. What if I don’t like my tree?
A: Keep in mind that you get to choose your tree. It’s first-come, first-served, but we order a few extras in each category to insure that every customer gets to choose a tree they like.

Q: Why do we have to preorder? Why do we only have 2 days to pick up our trees?
A: Preordering cuts down on our overhead–we only buy a few more trees that we’ve presold, so we’re not left with loads of unsold inventory. It also means that we don’t have to keep the lot open for weeks. We are a volunteer student and parent organization, so we can’t keep our lot open for that long.

Q: I have a screw in Christmas Tree Stand that looks like this:
Will my stand work with a Tam tree?
A: Unfortunately, no. We aren’t equipped with a drill that will do
that. Plus, you have no idea how long those Christmas tree lots
spend making the trees stand up straight! But you can get a
great new stand at Longs for about $15 that works fine!
